TO DO

Enjoy the North Sea

The country's most famous marine destination, called the "City of the Sea”; Ostend offers some of Belgium's best sandy beaches that invite you to sunbathe, stroll along the coast and for those who dare, swim in the North Sea. If you are there between June 28 and August 31, you will have the opportunity to see some impressive sand sculptures, as the city hosts the annual Sand Sculpture Festival. Ostend is to enjoy. Beautiful as a city in itself, let yourself get lost and walk to explore all its parts. Have a drink in the center and go shopping every day of the week. You can feel Ensor in every corner of the city, so there are countless ways to get to know it. Soak up in the culture. Have a cocktail at one of the beach bars, rent a beach chair to sunbathe, or would you rather lie on the quieter side of Ostend near the apartment and watch the sunset on the beach? Your dog can also run freely on the beach in the morning and afternoon. Dogs are allowed on the beach from October 1st to March 31st. Dogs are welcome on the beach in April, May, June and September before 10:00 and after 18:30. During the months of July and August dogs are allowed before 10:00 and after 20:00.
